Side Stitch
« on: May 15, 2018, 03:35:30 PM »
I got a side stitch the other week while running.  It was the first time in a long time.  Anyway, I got an email today from RoadRunnerSports that mentioned matching your foot strike to your breathing as a way to resolve the issue.  Here is an article I found that says the same thing along with some other remedies:

I have to think when the last time was that I got a side stitch... its been awhile. I read the article and will keep this in mind for the next time I have an issue.

"Poor running posture is another possibility to consider. Runners that hunch their backs while running appear to be more susceptible to side stitches. " that seems to be more of my issue. Being a clydesdale athlete, I have a less than optimal run posture. Form can make or break ya!
