Do any of you do regular weight training in the traditional sense? In other words, the large muscle groups that most guys focus on for mass, chest, shoulders, tris, biceps, etc?
I have been focusing on these muscle groups to maintain some mass, but have neglected the smaller connective muscles. Recently I have been suffering through some minor issues due to imbalance. Things like hip pains, plantar fasciitis and a few other mild symptoms. I met with a personal trainer this evening who did a series of really interesting, science based tests who confirmed exactly what I thought, I am way out of balance and studies show, that based on my score I am 50% more likely to incur injury as a result.
I am looking forward to learning some new exercises and stretches to incorporate into my route....everything in moderation!!
